Update on Roading Conditions No 10 (9am)

Drivers are being urged to stay at home and only travel in emergencies as surface flooding and high river levels are causing problems on southern roads.

Contractors are working to put signs up but drivers are urged to listen to the radio and check the Southland District Council website.

If you see water over the road, please assume it is not passable and please observe all warning signs/

NOTE: The Blackmount Redcliff Road is open as it is the only way to and from Te Anau.

Tanner & Hokonui School Rd area - Flooding in low areas across road, passable with care.
Taramoa - Surface flooding on a number of roads, passable with care.
Centre Bush Otapiri Road - Surface flooding, passable with care.
Limehills Browns Road - Surface flooding Dipton Hwy to Henderson Rd, passable with care.
Anderson Rd 3- Surface flooding Winton Hedgehope Hwy to Hokonui School Rd, passable with care.
Branxholme Makarewa Rd - Surface flooding, road passable with care.
McAdam Road at Makarewa - Surface flooding, road passable with care.
Rakahouka Grove Bush Road - Surface flooding, road passable with care.
Fleming Road at Titiroa, OK and open.
Wairikiki Road, Ok and open.
Anderson Road, Otapiri. Water flowing over road.
Sutton Road, Glencoe - Flooding and scouring on Sutton Road. Lot of water on road. Advise caution.
McKenzie Road, Browns - Flooding across road at 389 McKenzie Road. Flooding has caused underming of the road which is not visible to public. CAUTION.
Mt Hamilton Road - Mt Hamilton - Road underwater, potentially impassable.

Wreys Bush Mossburn Road - There is flooding across both lanes of Wreys Bush Mossburn Road from the Aparima River Bridge to Rapid 2432, the road is passable.
Tussock Creek Springhills Road - Flooding across road at Tussock Creek/Springhills Rd.
Crampton Road, Opio - There is flooding in four places on this road where the water is right across the road.
