Perfect Gift For Mum - And All The Family
Keep Dunedin Beautiful, in conjunction with Rotary Dunedin, will once again host Trees for Babies – Celebrating Families on Mother’s Day, 9 May at 11.00 am, at Bracken’s View.
Members of the public are invited to plant a native tree for a loved one for whatever reason. This year there will be many people planting trees for babies, but just as many planting trees as a memorial or to celebrate entire families.
Families will be welcomed by a piper and Mayor Peter Chin before the ground is blessed. Trees will then be planted and a certificate will be presented in the name of the person/family that the tree was planted for.
Trees must be pre ordered, preferably by 6 May.
Bracken’s View has been the venue for the past four years and is benefitting from the attention the “Trees For Babies” programme has brought to the area through extensive plantings.
