CANTERBURY

Environment Canterbury is warning duck shooters and hunters that alpine fed river levels will remain higher than usual for the weekend due to the heavy rain in the main divide. Hunters are advised to take extreme care when approaching these rivers, especially if it is still dark, as flows will be quite high and channels within the riverbed may have changed over the last few days.

For more about the latest river flows call the Environment Canterbury 24 Hour River Report Info Line 0900 RIVER (74837). Charges do apply.
