Mix together one radio announcer, one TV presenter, two fashion designers, flour and icing and what do you have? A celebrity bake-off.

The Edge radio station’s Jay-Jay Feeney and TV One's Alison Mau will go up against Dan Buckley and Steve Dunstan, founders of the fashion label Huffer in the Weston Milling Celeb Bake-Off to be held at the inaugural Fine Food New Zealand exhibition. Each team will have the guidance of a professional baker and be required to decorate a cake according to a mystery theme that will be revealed on the day. They will also have to complete a series of secret challenges.

Fine Food New Zealand is a three-day trade exhibition where New Zealand and international manufacturers and marketers from the food, drink and equipment industries will gather to showcase the latest products and services.

It gives exhibitors the opportunity to interact with thousands of retail and foodservice buyers on a face-to-face basis. Buyers will be able to discover new food and beverage products, see state-of-the-art equipment, gain insight on international trends and learn new skills and techniques in a highly dynamic environment.

Jay-Jay Feeney says she is looking forward to the bake-off, despite her lack of skill in this area. “I'm good at banana cake and that's about where my natural talent ends. But, I love baking and I'm hoping to fluke it. Perhaps my competitors will be worse than me?" she says. MC for the bake-off is Marnie Oberer.

Fine Food New Zealand will take place 13-15 June 2010 at the ASB Showgrounds in Auckland. For further information and show updates visit www.finefoodnz.co.nz. The Weston Milling Celeb Bake-Off will be held at 2pm on Monday 14 June.
