Mountain States Cup Round Three, Angel Fire, New Mexico

Kieran Bennet (DRD Tomac, Nelson) remained in the US with his professional team to take on the Chile Challenge at Angel Fire. Bennett had a weekend where both his qualifying and race runs did not go totally to plan - although he did qualify for the Habenero Downhill finals, he did so with a crash resulting in a split lip. Bennett took his repaired lip to the final together with a desire for a clean and fast run which unfortunately came unstuck on the lower parts of the Angel Fire mountain. An off course excursion on the lower part of the course dropped his finals time back to 16th.
