The overwhelming success of Robert Long’s Author Talk at the City Library last week has prompted a surprise return for the man who lives, with his wife and two teenage children, two days walk from Haast.
Almost 300 people came to hear Robert’s story, despite there being only 150 seats available, and his book  rapidly sold out.
Now, for those who missed out, Robert and his family have agreed to come back to Dunedin City Library on Monday 21 June after engagements in Wanaka and Te Anau, before heading home to Gorge River.
The repeat performance will be in the City Library’s Dunningham Suite at 5.30pm and tickets can be booked now by calling (03) 474 3690 or emailing library@dcc.govt.nz. Bookings are essential as seating is limited. Tickets can be collected from the Ground Floor Information Desk in the City Library.
Copies of' A Life On Gorge River: New Zealand’s Remotest Family' will also be available to purchase. Cash or credit only.
