Instead of the traditional sack of faxes and goodwill letters from fans, the All Blacks depart for France tonight with laptops at the ready, to keep in touch with their fans as they head for the Rugby World Cup.

Air New Zealand is making sure the All Blacks receive messages of support from around the world with www.allblacksfanatics.com gaining huge interest online.

Created to make it easier than ever for All Blacks fans to give the boys a rev up or simply show how fanatical they are about our national sport, the website has already attracted an outstanding response from fans with over 55,000 responses within the first month online, including messages from Kiwi celebrity fans.

Video messages have been posted by Kiwi celebrities from rugby legend Grant Fox to maestro Dave Dobbyn, TV3 broadcasting teams, National Party leader John Key, Vodafone Warriors players, the band Spacifix, George FM DJ Peter Urlich, radio stations The Edge and The Rock and not to mention Kiwi supermodel Rachel Hunter.

“We’re delighted with the response the website has received to date. It really shows how excited All Blacks fans are getting in the lead up to the Rugby World Cup kicking off,” says Air New Zealand General Manager Marketing Steve Bayliss. “The online environment means that getting your messages of support to the team is simpler and happens faster than ever before!”

www.allblacksfanatics.com enables fans to upload video messages, images and txt messages of support which will be viewed regularly by the All Black squad during their time in France. Exclusive chances to win amazing prizes with experiences like a flight simulator ride with Richie McCaw or the chance to get to any All Blacks game in 2008 with your mates are all up for grabs.
