New Te Arawa Standing Committee members attend first meeting

Recently elected Te Arawa Standing Committee (TASC) members attended their first meeting at the Rotorua District Council (RDC) Civic Centre today following committee elections last month.

New members Potaua Biasiny-Tule, Kingi Biddle, Roku Mihinui, Arapeta Tahana and returning committee member Rene Mitchell, met with TASC chair Mayor Kevin Winters and went through a programme of induction with CE Peter Guerin and council management.

New TASC member Eraia Kiel was unable to attend as were council appointed committee Members deputy Mayor Trevor Maxwell and Cr Bob Martin.

Induction proceedings included introductions, council protocols, procedures, standing orders, and other information.
