Public RWC forums to be held in Taupo and Turangi

Forums will be held next week in Taupo and Turangi for the public hear about the progress being made in preparations for the 2011 Rugby World Cup in Taupo.

The Rugby World Cup 2011 Host Co-ordination Committee Taupo2011 would like all members of the public that have an interest in the upcoming Rugby World Cup to come along to find out more about Taupo’s role as a host town.

Forums will be held in both Taupo and Turangi to ensure everyone in the district has the opportunity to come along. The Taupo forum will be 5.30–7pm, Wednesday, 21 July in the theatre at the Great Lake Centre. The Turangi forum will be 5.30–7pm, Thursday, 22 July in the Conference room at the Turangi Council Office.

Council staff and members of the Taupo2011 committee will be giving updates on the activities undertaken to date in preparation for the World Cup in September and October 2011, and will be available to answer any questions.
