Over 220 people tune into council webcast

The trial run of the first ever webcast of a Council meeting by Taupo District Council was not all smooth sailing but after a few early glitches most feedback is positive.

CEO Rob Williams says the Google analytics numbers show over 220 unique visitors tuned in between 1pm and 4pm which is pleasing. “We were unsure how many visitors to expect so are very pleased with that number.

“We might not be out rating Coronation Street just yet but we now know it can work and people are definitely interested. Only time will tell if we can maintain that interest.
