Testo rolls out the first water-tight folding thermometer and the smallest folding thermometer

Testo of Germany, one of Europe’s leading instrumentation manufacturers has released a new range of folding thermometers in New Zealand through their sole NZ agent, Eurotec Limited of Auckland.

Designed for the food industry the testo 103 and 104 folding thermometers quickly and reliably measure the temperature of food. They are robust, hygienic and extremely easy to operate, making them ideally suited for use in relation to quality assurance and production in the food sector.

As the thermometers will record measurements as soon as they have been opened to an angle of more than 30°, they offer the user amazing flexibility, particularly in high temperature areas. Following the measurement, the probe can simply be folded away and the thermometer stored in a shirt/pants pocket.

The testo 103 and 104 thermometers are HACCP and EN 13485 compliant.

The slim probe tip makes the testo 103 ideally suited for spot check measurements. It is the perfect size for a quickly accessible, hand-held instrument.

The white ABS housing is easy to clean, thereby ensuring that temperature measurements are conducted hygienically and without issue.

Thanks to its IP65 protection class, the testo 104 folding thermometer can be cleaned under running water and used in any conditions. Its robust metal folding hinge and long, stable probe make it particularly suited to taking core temperature measurements in large and solid products such as meat or cheese.

The instrument automatically emits an acoustic signal when the measurement is finished (auto-hold function), thus providing precise results. The highest and lowest values in a measuring range can also be stored at any time (min/max memory). The particularly large, illuminated display guarantees that measurements can be read quickly and easily.

Finally, the coloured strips provided can be used to assign the instrument to individual persons or work areas.
