EW announces candidates for local body race

Nominations for the 2010 local authority elections closed at noon today with 26 candidates to contest the 12 seats around the Environment Waikato council table.

Current EW chair Peter Buckley has been re-elected unopposed in the North Waikato-Hauraki constituency.
Profiles on each of the candidates will be available on EW's website www.ew.govt.nz when voting papers are distributed on 17 September.

Voting closes at 12 noon on Saturday, 9 October.
