Kohu Road, renowned for its delectable, moreish range of luxury natural ice creams, is now launching a new range of sensational sorbets. The four very modern sorbets are made in the classic tradition of real food: pure, natural and free from artificial additives and colours. Smooth, creamy and guilt-free, they are made with the world's best fruit and chocolate.

Just as Kohu Road revolutionised ice cream when it launched well over two years ago, it has now made coarse, hard, icy sorbet a thing of the past! The sorbet range is made with New Zealand's best natural spring water and Fair Trade organic cane sugar.

All four flavours are gluten free, dairy free, GE free, vegetarian, vegan and Kosher. In fact, something that tastes so good has never been quite so good for you!

Kohu Road sorbets are the perfect lick for summer, ideal for cooling off under the sunshine, a palate cleanser between meals or the ideal end to a summer meal. The four flavours are:

Mango

  • Made with ripe, fragrant Madelena mangos from Columbia and incredibly only three other ingredients. The smooth, velvety texture, saturated, vivid colour and luscious creaminess leave most declaring it as even better than the real thing.

Chocolate

  • Made with 55% cocoa solids dark chocolate from France, they call it "impossible sorbet." It's fresh and light yet has a deep, intense flavour and dark, seductive colour.

Strawberry

  • Made with succulent, juicy strawberries sourced globally, by season. All the subtle yet sensational flavours of fresh strawberries. Beautiful colour, tiny seeds, soft, smooth creaminess.

Passionfruit

  • Made with aromatic, piquant passionfruit from Thailand, embodying all of the

sharp, tangy characteristics of fresh handpicked fruit, without the seeds. A more traditional texture, and a surprise for the palate.

Greg Hall, founder of Kohu Road comments, “The development of this range was enlightening and enjoyable. We work on the philosophy of less is more – less ingredients that is. And if we source the best and add the love, the results are spectacular. These sorbets leave the best taste on the tongue – fresh, clean and invigorating.”

Available in 1L (RRP $18.90) from specialty stores and leading supermarkets nationwide in NZ and Australia from October. Visit the ice creamery in New Lynn for tastings and tours or visit www.kohuroad.co.nz.
