No Cobwebs On Libraries' New Site
The Dunedin Public Libraries is about to launch its fresh, new-look website, at www.dunedinlibraries.govt.nz, connecting visitors near and far in the virtual world.
A number of innovative features will delight visitors, with the overall site designed to improve access, connect members, and meet current and future customer needs. The home page enables easy access to the site, catalogue and web with one click - along with a user-friendly gateway to log in to customer accounts and an intuitive search engine.
The new 250-plus page site offers a vast amount of information, across a huge range of topics. New titles arriving in the Library are prominently displayed, alongside prize-winning book titles from around the world. New online forms have been added so joining our libraries, making inter-loan requests and suggesting new items can easily be done from home.
For those who like to socialise online and keep abreast of Library developments, improved links to the Library’s social media pages, news and events listings will also be well received.
Over the next few months, developments will continue as more topics are created and content is enriched. In the meantime, we look forward to receiving comments and suggestions from our visitors.
