Successful Christchurch-based Harcourts franchise Holmwood Real Estate Ltd has been named an Accredited Best Practice Real Estate Agency following an exhaustive independent audit process.

Announcing the achievement Managing Director of Best Practice Robert Bevan explained the Australasian accreditation is only granted to an agency that has a written Guarantee of Service and complies with top 10% levels of performance in four key client-focused categories: customer service; standards of professional conduct and ethical behaviour; employee training and support; and business management.

Harcourts Holmwood General Manager Tony Jenkins says he is delighted the efforts of the Holmwood group, which includes seven Harcourts offices in Christchurch and one in Wanaka, have been recognised with best practice accreditation, a year after the Invercargill and Gore offices he operates under a separate company became the first in New Zealand to receive the certification.

“It is a great honour for Harcourts Holmwood to be joining an elite network of Australasian businesses that have been accredited as understanding that when it comes to real estate agency practice the customer always come first,” says Mr Jenkins, who himself received The Australasian Real Estate Agency Best Practice Award for 2009.

“Basically it independently validates that our business is customer-focused and that the conduct and service of our sales consultants and property managers along with the management, training and support available to them is at industry best-practice level – which is recognition I’m obviously delighted about.”

Harcourts New Zealand CEO Hayden Duncan says the best practice accreditation is a testament to the efforts of Mr Jenkins and the Harcourts Holmwood team.

“Operating at the highest level is definitely a focus of Tony and everyone in the Holmwood team, and this accreditation provides independent verification of their success in achieving that, which is something they should all be very proud of.”

The Harcourts Holmwood group includes eight offices: Harcourts Fendalton, Harcourts Ilam, Harcourts Ilam 2, Harcourts Merivale, Harcourts St Albans and Harcourts Wanaka in addition to Holmwood Property Management and Holmwood Commercial.
