WELLINGTON CITY

All of our libraries in Wellington City are to close over Labour Weekend because of a software upgrade. This long weekend was identified as one of the best times to work on the entire libraries' system.

All libraries will close by 7.00pm on Friday 22 October and reopen again on Tuesday 26 October. The libraries' online catalogue will also be unavailable during this time.

And in case you're wondering what we'll do about any books, movies or DVDs that are due back that weekend - we've got it sorted. We've reconfigured our system to make sure these items will automatically become due for return on the Tuesday following Labour Weekend. This way no one will be charged overdue fines because of the closure and no extra fines will be added to items already overdue.

The library after-hours return slots will be open over the weekend. For more information, phone (04) 499 4444
