Sportsfield Delays Continue

The start of the summer sports season is being further delayed for some sporting codes. We still have crucial renovation work to do on some sportsfields because of wet weather.

The Council's Sportsfields Manager, Trevor Jackson, says all sports have been affected one way or another.
"There has been a staggered start to the summer sport season for everyone."

We're working with the various sporting groups about their sportsfield requirements and intended start dates.
"We want to thank the sporting codes for working with us during this frustrating time," says Trevor.
