New CEO appointed to lakes environmental
The Lakes Environmental Limited board today announced the appointment of a new chief executive officer.
“I am pleased to announce the appointment of Hamish Dobbie to the position with effect from next month,” board chairman Tony Hill said.
Mr Dobbie (45) was currently national manager contestable services and acting commercial development manager with Asure NZ Ltd in Christchurch.
His present company, with some 860 employees, specialised in providing a range of audit products and services to the food industry.
“Hamish is an accomplished manager having worked for his present company since 1999, having been business manager for seven years,” Mr Hill said.
“I am delighted we have attracted someone of Hamish’s calibre to this key role.”
In particular Mr Dobbie had a strong business background with particular proficiency in management systems, quality assurance and compliance.
“He really does bring a wide range of skills to the position,” Mr Hill said.
Mr Dobbie had worked extensively in the agriculture and forestry industries and has over 21 years management experience in marketing, operations and sales.
“I’m very much looking forward to the new role and working with the staff at Lakes Environmental and the board,” Mr Dobbie said.
Mr Hill said the board was extremely grateful for the support and assistance of acting chief executive Brian Fitzpatrick, who stepped in to fill the position until a new chief executive could be recruited.
