Herschelle Gibbs and David Warner Named For Yahoo!Xtra Northern Knights

Swashbuckling Australian opening batsman David Warner will take his place at the top of the order for the Yahoo!Xtra Northern Knights on Friday night at Seddon Park, in round five action of the HRV Cup.
 
Warner will be joined by the latest overseas star to join the competition-leading team, South African Herschelle Gibbs for the clash against the Canterbury Wizards, starting at 6.00pm. Gibbs flew into the country last night and has given himself plenty of time to adjust to a new time zone before Friday.
 
Both Warner and Gibbs will also play in Mt Maunganui on Sunday when the Knights meet the Otago Volts at 2.00pm. Last year the beach resort enjoyed fantastic crowds for its HRV Cup matches.
 
The Yahoo!Xtra Northern Knights are top of the HRV Cup, equal on points with the Auckland Aces but well ahead on net run rate.
