Australia go one nil up in Rose Bowl series

Australia have beaten the White Ferns by four wickets in the second Rose Bowl Twenty20 International, to take a one-nil lead in the eight match series.

Set 122 for victory Australia reached 123 for six in the final over with wicket keeper batsman Alyssa Healy sealing the win with an unbeaten 28 off 20 deliveries.

Debutant Sarah Coyte had a good all round match, hitting an important 14 not out and taking two for 18 off four overs.

Sara McGlashan top scored for the White Ferns with 48 off 38 deliveries with opener Aimee Watkins making a useful 39 off 35 at the top of the order.

The series resumes on 18 February where the teams meet at Queens Park in Invercargill for the third Twenty20 International. The first match was abandoned due to rain.
