Yahoo!Xtra Northern Knights Top Of Table
The Yahoo!Xtra Northern Knights head to Whangarei for their first home match of the men's domestic one-day competition this Sunday as the only side in the country to have won two from two.
The Knights have taken away victories over the Auckland Aces and Central Stags in the first two rounds to go four points clear on the table and now host the Wellington Firebirds at Cobham Oval, Whangarei on Sunday. The match starts at 11.00a.m.
Yesterday’s victory over the Stags saw former BLACKCAP Daniel Flynn record his third domestic one-day century. The match also saw the continuation of Bradley Scott’s impressive all-round record. Needing a boundary off the last two balls to win the match, Scott hit Stags paceman Doug Bracewell for two sixes off the final three balls, handing the Knights a heart-stopping win with just one ball and no wickets remaining.
