Bell Tea launches new tea to Zesty range
Bell Tea is excited to announce the launch of New Zealand’s first-ever mainstream Oolong tea.
Bell Zesty Oolong is in a class of its own bringing together the best of green and black teas.
Oolong has been enjoyed in China for many years and this tea has been sourced from Fujian Province in South Eastern China where many of the world’s top specialty teas are produced.
The leaves in an Oolong tea are only partially oxidised which means it lies somewhere between a green and a black tea.
Bell’s globetrotting Tea Guy, Matt Greenwood says when he tried the tea he knew he had to bring some home to New Zealand.
“I was very excited when I first tasted this tea. It is one of the few times in my career when I have said - we need this tea immediately. Its smooth, sweet taste and freshness means it is really closer to a green tea. I knew it would fit brilliantly into our Zesty range.
“Zesty Oolong is refreshingly unique with a distinctive character, combining the freshness of green tea and the full flavour of black tea, resulting in an elegant and floral blend that can be enjoyed any time of the day,” says Greenwood. “We are very proud to add this tea to our expanding Bell Tea family.”
In addition to its smooth, sweet taste, Bell Zesty Oolong Tea also has a powerful mix of antioxidants and is widely celebrated for its health properties.
Zesty Oolong is part of Bell Tea’s Zesty range, which also includes Pure Green, Citrus and Berry.
The best way to brew Zesty Oolong is to use fresh water just off the boil and let it brew for three minutes. This ensures optimal colour, flavour and health benefits from the antioxidants. Serve without milk.
