School holidays are fast approaching and the Auckland Regional Council is offering some exciting activities for kids on regional parks.
Book in for one of the fun events for kids and caregivers or simply get out of the house for a day of adventure and exploring one of Auckland's regional parks!

Kayaking at Omana
Want to learn how to kayak? Come and enjoy a day at Omana Regional Park.Explore the sheltered waters of Omana estuary in your kayak. Take in the scenic sights of the expansive Hauraki Gulf from the water.
This programme requires parental supervision.
Omana Regional Park lies in the Hauraki Gulf south east of Auckland city. It offers a chance to escape the busy city, with many activities to keep the family occupied. The park has a shelly beach offering rock pools and swimming, picnic areas and barbeques. The friendly farmyard animals are also a great attraction.
Hunua Mountain Bike Adventure
This programme offers fun for the whole family! Come and explore the awesome and exhilarating mountain biking tracks in the Hunua Ranges Regional Park. You will start with a quick skills lesson with the instructors from Bigfoot Adventures and familiarise yourself with the bike before heading to the unforgettable tracks.
The Mountain Biking Adventure offers a great way to experience the Hunua Ranges, less than two hours from Auckland city.
The Hunua Ranges feature stunning scenery, the majestic Hunua Falls, lush native bush and is home to many treasured native birds. Picnics, tramping, camping, fishing and mountain biking are among the activities on offer.
