Merivale supermarket open and fully stocked, including big water bottles

Merivale’s supermarket is open again and fully stocked including big water bottles.



While many of Merivale’s shops took a heavy hit in the earthquake this week, the supermarket if fully operational, Fresh Choice supermarket owner Craig Grant said today.



``We’ve got about 80 staff on today and we’ve got plenty of stock. I heard one report that said the Merivale Mall had collapsed but that’s not correct. We opened yesterday and now fully open from 7am to 9pm every day.



``This supermarket and the mall is the heart of Merivale and it’s great that people are trying to restore normality back to their lives as much as possible. We have everything the need that they normally buy.’’



``We lost a lot of stuff like everyone else but our supply lines are great and it’s business as normal again,’’ Grant said.
