Wool Partners International has confirmed that it too will ‘Meat the needs of Christchurch’ – a charitable initiative being led by Federated Farmers.

“Wool Partners International is joining Elders Primary Wool in helping their supplier farmers ‘Meat the needs of Christchurch’,” says David Rose, Federated Farmers Adverse Events spokesperson.

“With a growing number of meat companies and now the big two wool companies signed up’, Meet the needs of Christchurch’ is snowballing.

“For fibre farmers, we’ll be able to consign our wool with a portion of the revenue going to help Christchurch’s residents recover from this devastating earthquake.

“Federated Farmers’ Adverse Events Trust is a registered charity (no. CC46245) so every dollar donated through ‘Meat the needs of Christchurch’, will go to a range of registered charities working in the quake’s aftermath

“Federated Farmers will post back to each donor a receipt in the form of an official Adverse Events Trust letter. Given Inland Revenue's requirements for claiming back the donation rebate of 33.3 percent, this letter will contain everything donors need to know.

“Federated Farmers wishes to thank all participating companies for providing the opportunity but above all, New Zealand’s meat and fibre farmers for providing the means,” Mr Rose concluded.
