The superb taste and quality of free range eggs makes all the difference to a lazy Sunday eggs benedict. And Gisborne egg producer Beau Kirk knows free range.

His Kirkfield Family Farm eggs come accredited with the RNZSPCA’s Blue Tick, which Beau proudly calls his “Rolls Royce badge”.

The Blue Tick is the Royal New Zealand SPCA’s national certification programme that identifies the animal food product it adorns as being produced in a humane manner.

Beau and the team at Kirkfield Family Farms make every effort to maintain respect for the animals and to produce the best possible food for New Zealanders under the Blue Tick scheme.

Kirkfield Family Farm’s chickens roam free on the 100-year old Kirkfield family farm at Manutuke, 15 kms from Gisborne in the heart of wine country.

Each bird shares one square metre of indoor space with five others and each shed is sited on 1.5ha of land so the birds have plenty of space.

Kirkfield free range eggs can be found in selected Four Square and New World stores nationwide as well as the Gisborne Pak n Save. They are available in ½ dozen and dozen packs, mixed and premium grade.
