Paul Odlin from New Zealand’s SUBWAY® Pro Cycling won the sprinters classification at the Tour de Korea that ended in Seoul today.

Odlin’s team mates lead him out well on the only sprint on the stage that was a 47 kilometre circuit race that saw the Christchurch rider pick up second to secure the title of the tour’s best sprinter.

“My team mates did a great job,” Odlin said. “They rode really well for me and I’m rapt to be able to bring home the sprinters jersey; it’s a great result for the team.”

SUBWAY® Pro Cycling Manager Graeme Miller said it was a great tour for the SUBWAY® Pro Cycling team.

“We came to race and after the first stage our focus was on the sprinters jersey. It was a hard tour with some strong international teams and challenging conditions and to come away with the sprinters jersey is a job well done.”

The tour was raced over 10 days and 1,335 kilometres and featured national teams from Japan, Hong Kong, Korea, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Korea and Uzbekistan and various UCI Continental teams including last year’s winning team, Jelly Belly, from the United States and Team Type 1.
