New chairpersons for Gisborne/Wairoa province

Federated Farmers’ Gisborne/Wairoa Annual General Meeting was held on Thursday 5 May and saw new Dairy and Meat & Fibre chairpersons voted in.

John McIntyre was elected as the regional Meat & Fibre chairperson. He replaces Len Hall who becomes the vice chairperson.

Will Humphreys also becomes the Dairy section chairperson.

“It’s great to have Will as our new Dairy chair after a long absence. He will be a strong advocate for dairy in the region. John McIntyre has extensive experience in the wider meat industry and he is to be commended for stepping up.

“I also want to thank Len Hall who has given the Federation tireless support. I have long valued his support to me in my presidency,” said Hamish Cave, Federated Farmers Gisborne/Wairoa president.

All other office holders were returned.
