Samsung Launches Smart Thinking in Refrigeration

Samsung New Zealand has recently unveiled its French Door refrigerator – the AW3, designed for those who appreciate food storage, convenience and style.

Samsung New Zealand Marketing Director Rachael Cotton-Bronte says the AW3 Refrigerator combines the very best in innovation, design and functionality – making a strong design statement in any Kiwi kitchen.

“Samsung’s design team focuses on researching how people interact with their home appliances; the result is the AW3, a stunning refrigerator designed to bring the hub of the home to the kitchen.”

The AW3 is ideal for those who require storage, offering 50 extra litres of volume compared to previous Samsung models. Stylish ‘French Doors’ provide easy access to the spacious fridge compartment, mid-drawers and the large freezer drawer.

Key features include LED lighting that illuminates every corner of the fridge, letting users find what they need easily and quickly. Samsung’s new water filter, now placed in an easy-to-reach section of the fridge, for hassle-free filter changes, means there is no need to remove items from the fridge to access the filter.

Nestled in the middle of the AW3 is a food storage compartment called the mid-drawer. Samsung designed this drawer to seamlessly integrate with contemporary kitchens and the drawer is aligned with the height of most modern countertops. The adjustable Smart Divider efficiently organises frequently accessed products like meats, beverages and snacks. Users can separately control food in the mid-drawer with different temperature settings using Samsung’s new Café Look Dispenser, which shines an icy-blue light on a full touch panel display, so users can easily monitor and modify settings.

Moving down to the freezer compartment, an easy pull of the newly designed handle is all you need to slide out the two fully extended freezer drawers of Samsung’s AW3. The freezer compartment features a top drawer that fully extends until the end of the bottom drawer so users can easily reach the items they need. A small “Snack Pocket” can be found inside the freezer, an ideal location for small-sized snacks such as ice cream bars.

Topping it all off, Samsung’s Twin Cooling Plus® technology keeps food and beverages at their utmost freshness in all compartments. Twin Cooling Plus® provides precise temperature control by individually cooling the refrigerator and freezer compartments, allowing items to stay fresh with optimal humidity.
