Hamilton Bed & Breakfast Gearing Up For Rugby World Cup

When it comes to luxury Bed and Breakfast accommodation in the Waikato there is a hidden jewel in the crown – Hamilton’s Riverlea House.

Located within five minutes drive of Hamilton City, Riverlea House is ideal for groups of people and both short and long-term accommodation stays. It is nestled in a private and peaceful cul-de-sac providing serene views of the mighty Waikato River.

“Our guests always comment on the wonderful views and hospitality they receive during their stays,” says Nicky van Praagh, who is the host extraordinaire at Riverlea House along with her husband, Paul.

Riverlea House has a range of Bed and Breakfast comforts including a master suite with luxury en suite and private balcony. There is a selection of bedrooms with shared bathroom, Sky TV/home theatre, outdoor swimming pool, barbecue and spacious outdoor dining area.

There is private access to an array of walks along the Waikato River which provide a great avenue for some healthy outdoor exercise during a guest’s stay.

The van Praaghs purchased the Silva Crescent, Riverlea, Hamilton property two years ago and then developed the bed and breakfast accommodation.

“Once our children left home we decided to set up the bed and breakfast accommodation upstairs. We are very happy with the way it all turned out with four bedrooms available in total for groups to stay,” says Nicky.

The van Praaghs are looking to attract guests coming to New Zealand for the 2011 Rugby World Cup this year. “It will be an ideal accommodation getaway for tourists looking for a slice of nature within close proximity of Hamilton City,” said Nicky. “We still have bookings available during the Rugby World Cup period.”

Guests are provided with a healthy continental breakfast, refreshments and newspaper to ensure they have a relaxing start to their day.
