The Aotearoa Legalise Cannabis Party (ALCP) has selected Maki Herbert
to contest the Te Tai Tokerau by-election.

The ALCP continues to be the only party to contest every by-election
and general election since MMP was introduced in 1996.

The Electoral Commission originally refused to print the party's full
name on the ballot paper - cliaming it was too long.

However a last minute change of heart by the commission will allow the
name "Aotearoa Leglaise Cannabis Party" to be used in full rather than
"ALCP"
