Turners to hold 'No Reserve' furniture, whiteware and electronics auction
Hundreds of items of furniture, whiteware and electronics, which were salvaged after the Christchurch earthquake in February, will be put under the hammer this weekend at Turners Auctions.
The salvaged stock has come from a major New Zealand retailer affected by the earthquake, and includes lounge suites, dishwashers, televisions, fridge freezers, washing machines and home theatre systems.
“Much of the stock only has minor scratches or packaging damage and is simply no longer suitable for retail shelves, so this is a great opportunity for people to find a bargain,” says Graham Roberts, Chief Executive of Turners Auctions.
Everything will be sold at no reserve, which means the highest bidder for each item will take it home.
The two-day auction will run from 10am to 4pm on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 June at Turners Auctions, 100 Gavin Street, Penrose, Auckland.
Customers are able to view and inspect the goods in advance of the auction between 10am and 4pm on Thursday 9 and Friday 10 June.
