Devon Road in Waiwhakaiho will be restricted to two lanes for part of Wednesday (22 June) while the traffic islands’ plants are replaced.

From 9.30am to 2.30pm on Wednesday, the right-hand lanes of both the north and south sides of the road will be closed between the Waiwhakaiho Bridge and the bottom of Mangaone Hill.

“We need to close off the lanes so that it’s safe for staff to remove the vegetation from the traffic islands and put in new plants,” says Manager Parks Operations Stuart Robertson.

“However we’re timing it to avoid the peak morning and evening traffic flows.”

Drivers are asked to take care during the work period and keep an eye out for directional signs.
