Councillors have been making good progress with the Southern Marlborough Urban Growth Strategy decision meetings. Three meetings have been held so far, and the majority of decisions relating to zoning and amenity issues for Blenheim and other settlements in southern Marlborough have been made.

Decisions about zoning of the Dillons Point Road area of Blenheim and amenity issues in Seddon were deferred so additional information could be provided to councillors. These matters, and infrastructure issues at the proposed residential development site at Old Renwick Road in Blenheim, will be discussed at the final meeting, which will be held on Friday 3 June from 1.00 pm in Council Chambers. The meeting will be open for the public to attend. This is a change from the originally advertised date of Friday 27 May.

More information about the strategy and the decision meetings is located in the Growing Marlborough section of Council’s website.
