The Crusaders are favoured to win the Super Rugby title in Brisbane this weekend, and will return home true Canterbury champions, win or lose, this Sunday 10 July 2011.

The Christchurch City Council encourages fans to don red and black and give the team a great big welcome cheer at Christchurch International Airport, 4.50pm on Sunday as the team arrive home after a tough season.
Councillor Sue Wells says she wouldn’t miss the chance to cheer on the team and congratulate them on making the finals.

“I’ll absolutely be there on Sunday on Mayor Bob Parker’s behalf to welcome home the boys with the back of the car cleaned out to make room for the trophy.

“Let’s get a huge cheering squad together and show the team how much support they have here at home.”

Welcome home the Crusaders at 4.50pm, Sunday 10 July, International Arrivals lounge, Christchurch International Airport. Free face painting, balloons and team signings will be available.

Show your pride and support the Crusaders.
