Getting back into things
I wanted to do a ‘Josh says’ just to let you know what has been going on in my world lately! I’ve been back on the bike for ten days now. At first it didn’t go so well and I still had a little bit of pain, nothing like at the British GP earlier in the year though, so I took a bit more rest and just did my normal training to keep me busy. Last weekend I went to the MXON in Budds Creek. I didn’t really want to go at first because I wanted to race, not watch! But I’m glad I went. I had loads of fun and enjoyed every minute of it. I got a lot of work done there with photo shoots for Thor and A-stars, as well as some press commitments.
The European riders didn’t fare too well against the Americans and have since got a lot of flack for their results. Truth is the American riders were amazingly fast and at another level. It was a shame BT didn’t ride. It would have been nice to see him take on Ryan Villopoto. It was cool to see so many ex racers checking out the racing and having a good time.
I got to meet Ron ‘The Dogger’ Lechien and that was cool. It was also good to catch up with lots of friends from over that way like BT’s mechanic, Craig Behl. THOR and PARTS UNLIMITED put on a big show at the event and the after party was even better so a big thanks to them for making such an effort and making us feel welcome.
Since getting home I’ve been riding most days. I’m trying to get back in shape for testing and I have a few races coming up as well. The weather has turned bad in Europe! Lucky for me I get to go home soon to another summer – great!
That’s it for now,
