Week Two kicked off on a showery morning in Nelson but it didn’t keep the crowds away. With Italy playing two RWC 2011 matches in Nelson there was a strong Italian feel today. The REAL NZ Festival provided Buffalo Mozzarella and Parma ham and lots of fans dressed up in red, white and green. Domenico Palumbo and Kalena Stosser took the prizes for best dressed. There were also some amazing costumes on show from the World of Wearable Arts. Players from Nelson Boys and the Tasman Makos re-enacted the first Rugby match in NZ which was played in Nelson in 1870. The show finished up with a fantastic performance from the Sambo Desol band.
