Council to be briefed on AMI stadium options

Christchurch City Council will hold a workshop within the next month so councillors can be briefed on the options for AMI stadium.

A media conference planned for tomorrow (12 July 2011) has been postponed until after the Council briefing.

“AMI Stadium is a Council facility and the full Council needs time to consider reports into the condition of the stadium, and the extent of damage. This will include a peer review of the engineering reports,” Councillor Sue Wells says.

“We want to keep the public fully informed and we will be in a position to do this once we have a full picture ourselves of the extent of damage.”
