Retiring from the paid workforce can open up new opportunities for learning as people have more free time. The University of the Third Age (U3A) is one option for keeping the brain busy and learning something new.

It offers an opportunity for people to come together and learn something new for the pleasure of doing so. You don’t need a university degree or any other qualification in order to join; life experience and an enquiring mind are all that is required.

The Marlborough U3A branch is a very social group with classes that include Mahjong and wine appreciation, conversational French, local history, card making and water colours.
