Auckland is the last pit stop in a journey up the length of New Zealand to give Kiwis a taste of the excitement of Rugby World Cup 2011 (RWC 2011).

The RWC 2011 Roadshow kicked-off in Bluff on 4 July and will have already visited more than 20 New Zealand towns and cities by the time it hits four locations across Auckland from 24 to 31 July.

Designed to give New Zealanders a sample of excitement before the Tournament, the Roadshow is free to enter and travels in a custom-designed truck, which opens into a 72sq metre venue.

Auckland fans will be able to have their photo taken with the Webb Ellis Cup, enjoy a taste of REAL New Zealand Festival events, win or buy RWC 2011 tickets, and find out how they can be part of the Tournament.

Fans are encouraged to dress up in support of one of the participating countries to be in to win to tickets to an Auckland match.

Visitors will also meet local players, take part in interactive displays and watch videos about the history and legends of Rugby World Cup 2011, and experience a huge taste of entertainment from cultural performances to DJs, bands and classical music, to clowns, stilt walkers and fire jugglers.

TV One Breakfast weatherman Tamati Coffey will also be broadcasting live from Otara and Orewa.

Where: North Harbour Stadium car park, Stadium Drive, Albany
Highlights: Family entertainment area, market and craft stalls, food vendors, appearances by North Harbour ITM players, RWC 2011 giveaways, performances by Grace, French Toast, The Talent Group and Deelicious Samoan Dance Group.

When: Monday, 25 July from 6:30am to 9:30am
Where: Otara Music & Arts Centre car park, Bairds Road, Otara Town Centre
Highlights: Otara Music Arts Centre (OMAC) Showcase featuring Samoan Slap Dancers, DJ Poroufessor, Kona Gray, Punatti and other cultural performances, plus a breakfast club featuring flavours of the Otara Flea Market.

When: Tuesday, 26 July from 6.30am to 9.30am
Where: Orewa Beach car park, Hibiscus Coast Highway, Orewa
Highlights: Cultural performances including Kapa Haka and the Deelicious Samoan Dance Group join local entertainment from the Puhoi Wood Choppers and Sheep World for a great taste of local flavour in Rodney. There’ll be plenty of food vendors, stalls, displays and kids’ entertainment as well.

When: Sunday, 31 July from 10am to 2pm
Where: Eastern Viaduct waterfront car park, 220 Quay Street, Viaduct Harbour, Auckland
Highlights: This RWC 2011 Roadshow event features a true ‘taste of Auckland’ with a huge entertainment line up of cultural performances including Kapa Haka, African drumming, Cook Island dancing, Bollywood and Chinese dragon dancing, plus bands, classical music and DJ. There’ll also be stalls and displays from the Maritime Museum, Style Pasifika, RWC 2011’s Interactive Man, food vendors and art and crafts.
