Art From Waste
Keep Dunedin Beautiful, in conjunction with the Dunedin Cadbury Chocolate Carnival, is hosting ‘Recyclia’ on the ground floor of the Dunedin Public Library from Monday 25 July to Thursday 28 July.
‘Recyclia’ is an art/environmental competition where students, either as individuals or in groups, make ‘masterpieces’ from recycled or re-usable materials in the form of sculptures or wall-hangings. Art work will be accepted at the Library on Monday 25 July between 9:45 and 10:30.
The creations will be judged by two independent judges. The winners will be informed at the prize-giving on Thursday 28 July at 3:30pm. There will also be a People’s Choice winner – a category which is always hotly contested.
