If you or your local creative organisation are in need of some funding, don’t miss the remaining application writing workshops and information sessions being held throughout the region for this year’s Creative Communities Scheme funding round.

The Creative Communities Scheme supports broad community involvement in diverse arts and cultural traditions and encourages individuals and local communities to create opportunities for young people to engage with and actively participate in the arts.

Under the scheme, the arts include opportunities for active participation in theatre, music, visual arts, digital art, applied arts, Toi Maori, literary workshops, digital storytelling, and many other activities.

The Auckland-wide funding round and the local funding round close on 26 August, so the workshops and information sessions are a great way to help you with your application..

In 2010, Creative New Zealand revised some of the criteria and assessment of the Creative Communities Scheme. So, if you have applied to the Creative Communities Scheme in the past, you will notice some changes.
