Hamilton's Municipal Pool closed for repairs
The Municipal Pool on Victoria Street will be closed for at least a week while repairs
take place at the facility.
The Municipal Pool was unable to open as planned yesterday after staff discovered a
circulation pump had failed in the plant room – causing a joint in the pool’s piping to
blow and water to drain from the pool.
Hamilton City Council leisure facilities manager Jason Rogers said work is now
underway on repairing the pump and pipe.
“It is expected to take at least a week for the repairs to be completed and for the pool
to be refilled and restored to working order. We apologise to pool users for any
inconvenience caused as a result of the closure,” he said.
Updates about the repairs will be available on www.hamiltonpools.co.nz .
