One of the South Island’s leading print and web companies is offering thousands of dollars worth of web development to quake affected Canterbury companies.

Blueprint Managing Director Michael Lightbourne, says his company has come through the earthquakes unscathed and wants to help other businesses which haven’t been so lucky.

“We have been looking at ways we can contribute to the recovery in the region and have been liaising with the Canterbury Employers Chamber of Commerce and Recover Canterbury, both of whom are very supportive of our offer. We are local, here for the long haul and want to help the recovery in Christchurch.”

Lightbourne also says, an effective presence on line is key to the viability and success of many businesses and with so many businesses having to manage damage to buildings, staff well-being and still run a business, he hopes this opportunity will enable companies to gain or improve an online presence while they work on managing other issues the earthquakes may have presented them with.

Blueprint has recently made significant financial investment in the web development arm of the business, partnering with Kentico, one of the world’s leading content management system developers, with the platform used in 84 countries by more than 6,000 websites including some of the world’s biggest corporations such as McDonalds, Mazda and Vodafone.

Blueprint will consider each application from companies on a case by case basis.
