Taupō District Council’s Environmental Services staff based at Gillespie Plaza in the CBD are moving back to the main council office on the corner of Lake Terrace and Rifle Range Road in the next two weeks as council no longer require the additional office space.

Taupō District Council office staff will be back under one roof as of Monday 8th August. The move is being undertaken gradually over a period of two weeks to ensure there is minimal disruption to services including building regulations, building consents, planning consents, liquor licensing and health enquiries.

“Following a restructure undertaken by the Taupō District Council earlier this year, there is now enough space at our Main Office to house the staff from Gillespie Plaza,” says Operational Services Manager, Gareth Green. “It will be beneficial to both staff and the public to have services back under the one roof.”

The exceptions are the Animal Management and Compliance teams who will be based at the Taupō Animal Management Centre situated next to Owen Delaney Park on Centennial Drive.

If the public require any of Council’s environmental services over the next two weeks and are not sure which premises to visit, they can phone Council’s Customer Services Team on 376 0899. They will be able to direct enquiries to the right people and premises.
