Final call for accommodation operators to place vacant inventory on the rugby pages

With 45 days and counting to the beginning of Rugby World Cup 2011, accommodation operators are reminded of a dedicated Rugby accommodation booking web page providing free listings. One of many online accommodation sources, the web page links consumers through to accommodation providers that have real-time booking facilities on their websites.

In September 2010, Tourism New Zealand was asked by Rugby New Zealand 2011 to assist with an online solution that would give consumers easy access to pricing information and real-time accommodation booking facilities during the peak booking periods.

As well as providing a strong 'book now' call to action, this content include information about the types of accommodation available in New Zealand, and a list of links to regional tourism organisations' accommodation and i-SITEs.

How you can get involved
In order to be listed you will need to meet the below criteria:

• You must have accommodation inventory for sale during the period of Rugby World Cup 9th September 2011 to 23rd October 2011

• Your website must clearly display the prices of available accommodation

• Your website must have the facility for consumers to book and receive confirmation in real time

• Your website must adhere to the Major Events Management Act (MEMA) 2007 guidelines for promotion of RWC 2011

• Your website must adhere to the terms and conditions of listing on www.newzealand.com (see http://www.register.nztb.co.nz/)

Operators should email rugbyaccommodation@tnz.govt.nz with the following information:
1. Contact name, company name and full contact details
2. The URL for the most appropriate booking page on your website
3. Your logo in .jpg format
4. A short description of your business (100 characters)
