The following roads works are scheduled to be undertaken during the period of Thursday 4 to Friday 19 October as part of the programme of works preparing the track for the Hamilton 400 V8 Supercars street race to be held in Hamilton 18–20 April 2008.

Tristram Street/Rostrevor Street
The installation of a large removable centre island has been completed. Minor trimming works to be done – traffic may experience some minor delays.

Lake Road/King Street
The roundabout is being removed, the road reshaped (chicane shape), realignment of underground services and the installation of a removable roundabout.

Mid week the road surface will be resealed
Followed by road markings, kerbing and traffic island fixtures.

Work is being conducted a night to reduce impact on traffic movement, however, restricted access through the intersection continues. The traffic management plan is working well –however, traffic should expect at times significant delays and should avoid the intersection where possible.

Mill Street
Pit lane – The construction of pit lane is a major project. Completion is expected to be in January 2008. Preparation earthworks are progressing well. Pit lane is being constructed off the carriageway and a safety barrier has been put in place at the roadside. As it is a worksite the area is no longer accessible to the public.

Seddon Road (south – CBD side)/Mill Street will be closed to traffic on Monday to Friday.
