Playcentre's Day Of Celebration

Mayor Alistair Sowman and deputy mayor Jenny Andrews were guests at Playcentre’s day of celebration in the town centre on Monday where the town’s youngest citizens introduced them to the pleasures of face paint and gloop.

Playcentres involve and educate parents in caring for and teaching their pre-schoolers and are available to Marlborough families from Picton through to Seddon.

Mrs Andrews says playcentres offer a valuable chance for young parents to socialise with others but also to discover more about the ways they can help their children to learn.
