CoOL Petition comes to Rodney

Green Party MP Sue Kedgley will be in Orewa tomorrow (Friday 5th October) to meet with people, gather signatures for her Country of Origin Labelling petition and pick up petitions already signed by people demanding the right to know where their food comes from.

Ms Kedgley says her petition, calling for mandatory labelling on fresh produce, meat, seafood and single component foods, is getting a huge response right around the country.

“It’s apparent from the huge amount of support we’re receiving that this is an idea whose time has come,” Ms Kedgley says.
