Fans Urged to Pre-Buy Tickets to Ranfurly Shield Defence

Let’s pack out Yarrow Stadium this Sunday as we cheer on Tenderlink Taranaki in their defence of the Ranfurly Shield!

The game starts at 4.35pm and fans are advised to pre-buy their tickets and get to the stadium early to make sure they’re in their seats when the team runs on the field.

“We know from ’96 that anyone with amber and black in their blood will turn up to support Taranaki for the shield defence, so people need to plan for the crowd,” says Mayor Harry Duynhoven.

“Let’s make sure every spot around the ground is filled when Taranaki runs onto the field.”

Manager Venues Jenny Mills says fans should plan ahead to make sure they get to their seats on time.

“Buying your tickets before the game will make it quicker to get through the gates. But whether you have your tickets in hand or plan to buy at the gate – if there are any tickets left – give yourself plenty of time to get into the stadium,” she says.

Those who get to the stadium by 2.15pm will be able to watch Taranaki Under 18s take on King Country.
